Putting Our Heads Together – Wearable Art Headwear is a project that connects the community through art and design, while exploring ideas and ways of improving the world we live in. In this one day workshop event, participants will be engaged in designing and making wearable art headwear that visually expresses their ideas about how to improve environmental and/or social aspects of community life. Participants will be using mainly recycled and recyclable materials to construct the headwear, a practical application of the sustainability principles they will be exploring.

The workshop will be facilitated by wearable art artist, arts educator and arts consultant and project manager, Anzara Clark, who has extensive experience in the design and delivery of community arts projects. The artist facilitator will guide participants through design and construction processes, encouraging them to stretch their creative boundaries and explore visual design possibilities. In the process, participants will learn new skills and expand their creative vision and understanding of the process and possibilities of design. The event will be hosted by Princes Hill Community Centre, who will also be profiling participant work after the conclusion of the event.
