Discover the fascinating vegetation and ecology of the Birrarung near the Heide Museum of Modern Art with this informative tour. Led Heide Gardener Luke Murchie, participants will explore the Yaluk Langa site, where they’ll learn about the process of revegetating the land along the banks of the Birrarung. The tour also covers the site’s history and how the Yaluk Langa project contributes to the river’s biodiversity.

Join Andrew Skeoch at 9 am for Acoustic Ecologies during ‘A Day at Heide’ for Open Nature. The event includes a peaceful listening walk and field recording activity. Head to the Heide cafe for a morning tea before the insightful Yaluk Langa ecology workshop with Luke Murchie at noon. Refuel at the Heide cafe or enjoy a picnic lunch in the gardens before visiting the Heide Museum.

Please note that museum entry is not included, and individual bookings are required for each workshop session. This event is presented in partnership with Heide Museum of Modern Art.
