Join Yarra River Keeper Charlotte Sterrett for a guided walking tour of the Yarra, Birrarung River at Pound Bend, Warrandyte. This tour helps participants connect with the natural beauty and resilience of the Birrarung and increase awareness and appreciation of its biodiversity.

During the tour, participants have the opportunity to photograph the area’s flora and fauna and learn about its cultural and ecological significance. By sharing photos and findings on iNaturalist, participants can contribute to a better understanding of the local ecosystem and the wildlife that inhabits it. If you walk quietly, you may even catch a glimpse of the local platypus.

As the Yarra Riverkeeper, Charlotte Sterrett brings her many talents working with diverse stakeholders to advocate for the Yarra/Birrarung to be healthy, protected, and loved. Part of her motivation for being the Yarra Riverkeeper is to encourage people to be more connected to the river and respect it as a living entity with its own rights.
