IM-PERMANENT is an exhibition exploring experimentations in bio-material mycelium from eminent Australian practitioners. Hosted by Ellis Jones and RMIT Industrial Design, IM-PERMANENT interrogates the capitalistic approach to production and consumption by accenting the planet-centric alternative of moving to a circular economy. It asks visitors: What do we leave behind when we create and produce? Who loses? And what does a future fuelled by circular practices look like?

Interested in circularity and sustainable materials such as mycelium for a school project? The Industrial Design Program RMIT team invites design and technology students, as well as VCE school groups, to tour the IM-PERMANENT exhibition.

Morning and afternoon sessions are available for school groups between Monday and Friday. Bookings are required and can be made through DATTA VIC or via email at [email protected].
