IM-PERMANENT is an exhibition exploring experimentations in bio-material mycelium from eminent Australian practitioners.
Hosted by Ellis Jones and RMIT Industrial Design, IM-PERMANENT interrogates the capitalistic approach to production and consumption by accenting the planet-centric alternative of moving to a circular economy.
It asks visitors: What do we leave behind when we create and produce? Who loses? And what does a future fuelled by circular practices look like?
Enjoy bubbles and craft beers, and step into a world brimming with conscious creativity and climatic hope.
Participants include: Dr Tien Huynh & Isabella Raco, Dr Emma Luke and Kate Geck, Josh Riesel, Dr Merhnoush Latifi, Dr Judith Glover, Alia Parker, Dr Canhui Chen, Jake Shaw, Natalie Alima with Simulaa, Richard Greenacre & Mechelle Shooter, Timo Rissanen, Edward Linacre & Philippa Abbott (Mycelium Studios), Flynn Williams, Studio Flek, Dr Gyungju Chyon, Monash Design students + K5, Fungi Solutions, Charli Rose Gerry, Alexi Freeman.
