Inspired by the Japanese bento box, the Designer's Toolbox is a stackable storage container for art and design supplies. Individual layers of the toolbox show different paintbrushes and paints.

Top Designs is part of the VCE Season of Excellence, a five-month annual festival coordinated by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), showcasing outstanding senior secondary student work from Victorian schools.

Now in its 23rd year, Top Designs showcases the future of contemporary Australian design. The products on display highlight the innovative, solution-based thinking of their designers.

With over 1,000 applications received from government, independent and Catholic schools across Victoria, 70 works were selected by expert educators in each of the studies.

The exhibition includes communication design, furniture, digital media, set design and much more. Also on display are folios and developmental work, allowing visitors to experience the students’ design journeys, from conception to completion.
