Buildings contribute significantly to the production of carbon within the atmosphere. To meet climate change goals of keeping below 2 degrees Celsius, a proposed halving of emissions every decade has been considered as one of the great solutions. Legislative and market pressures are increasing, but as leaders in the design industry, we must understand how we can best define and measure our carbon impact, strategies, and initial changes, and monitor and reassess what we can do now.
Knowing the responsibilities within the design industry’s ‘chain of custody is crucial in contributing to positive climate and community outcomes through the design, installation, operations, and reuse of architectural and interior design projects.
Join Arup, Woods Bagot, Euroluce, Woven Image, Living Edge, and guests as they host a dynamic ‘speed panel’ during which they discuss how the sector can create more sustainable outcomes through collaboration, what the novel ideas are implemented developed now, and how the design sector can work with their clients into the future.
